What is Ubuntu?

Funny thing actually, i previous post "Release date of Windows 10?" I said and i quote:

I underlined that word 'Ubuntu' because it's this posts most important word. I mentioned it by accident but it's perfect for learning new things, So lets start:

First of all Ubuntu is Operating System, and it's one of many Linux kernels.

You can check out Ubuntus home page ==> HERE

I guess i should say a few words now, but i`m not sure i`ll do that i think i`ll let pictures show you instead (with a bit of text that explain what`s what):

Gaming

From Sudoku to shoot-em-ups, we’ve got loads of games that’ll keep you busy for hours. There are thousands of games available for Ubuntu, including titles from the Unity and Steam platforms. Pick from critically acclaimed titles such as Dota 2, Civilisation V, Kerbal Space Programme, Football Manager 2015 and Borderlands 2.

Office software

Create professional documents, spreadsheets and presentations on Ubuntu with LibreOffice, the open source office suite that’s compatible with Microsoft Office. That means you can open and edit files like Word documents, Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations and share them with other users quickly and easily. You can also use Google docs directly from your desktop.

Smarter searching

Smart filters to make it faster and easier to find the content you need, whether it’s stored on your computer or on the web. Type any query into the Dash home and the Smart Scopes server will determine which categories of content are the most relevant to your search, returning only the best results. And it learns from your past searches making it increasingly accurate over time.

Email

Ubuntu comes with Thunderbird, Mozilla’s popular email application, so you’ll have fast desktop access to your email. No matter which email services you use; Microsoft Exchange, Gmail, Hotmail, pop or imap, email just works.

Social

Keep up to date with your friends and colleagues quickly and easily. Ubuntu comes with Thunderbird, Mozilla’s popular email application, so you’ll have fast desktop access to your email. Services like Skype work seamlessly and with the Dash message lens, you can see all your microblogging feeds in one place. So you’ll be able to follow the latest news and gossip like never before.

Videos

Watch all your favourite content on Ubuntu with apps for playing, managing and sharing your videos. Edit your movies with PiTiVi and then watch them in Movie Player — or add VLC and OpenShot from the Ubuntu Software Centre, for compatibility with even more file formats.

I'm sure that all of you, who use Windows OS (Operating System) of any version, who never tried anything else than it, think that everything else is in every way pure sh#t... But I'm also sure that if you try Ubuntu or any other Linux, like Mint, Fedora, Puppy (puppy is perfect for old computers that have low memory) or any else version of Linux, you would like it. So i recommend that you download it and try it for couple of days, a good thing about Ubuntu is that when you make it bootable on USB and start it on your computer you get live preview...

So that's it for this post guys, but since summer brake started will post a lot more of interesting stuff...

:D

Done your homework? How to track your kids by smartphone

Well this post is called "Done your homework? How to track your kids by smartphone" and we also like to call it "how your parents are spying on you".

Is your toddler being mean to his baby sister while you're out of the room? Is your eight-year-old making unauthorised detours to the sweetshop after school?
Chill. Mobile entrepreneurs have got your back, with smartphone-controlled baby cameras and wristwatch tracking devices that let you spy on your kids via your handset.
Among countless new "wearable" gadgets presented this week at the Mobile World Congress trade fair in Barcelona, several companies were peddling brightly-coloured rubber wristwatch devices for four to 11-year-olds.
The watches let parents track their child's movements on the screen of their smartphone and receive alerts if the child wanders outside a pre-set "safety zone".
Spanish phone firm Telefonica announced the launch in Europe and Latin America of the FiLIP, a wrist device that has taken off in the United States since 2013.
The watch lets the child talk via their wrist to authorised adults who have the app on their smartphone.
"The idea is before they have their first smartphone, which is full of dangers for a small child, to have a way of locating and contacting them," said Carla Becker, a project manager at Telefonica, presenting the FiLIP in Barcelona.
"The idea is not to be able to track them all the time. It is for when you need it."

Other smaller companies trying to market child trackers included B-On, a multinational firm that presented a purple prototype of its Amigo child watch in Barcelona.
"There are more and more tracking devices on the market, for kids, pets, cars," said B-On vice-president Ishay Shani.
"Now is exactly the right time. Tracking is growing and the product is getting smaller."
- Don't trust the babysitter -
For those who miss their child while away -- or who just don't trust the babysitter -- Taiwanese firm D-Link showcased its latest home baby-monitoring camera, the EyeOn Baby.
From an application on a smartphone, the parent can view and talk to the child, play lullabies, take pictures and videos and set the app up to deliver alerts if the baby cries or moves.
"It's the next step for the traditional baby monitor," said Anselmo Trejo, a D-Link marketing representative in Spain where he said 50,000 such cameras were sold last year.

"Of course, you will still leave the child with a babysitter. But I don't trust all babysitters," he said.
"From a hotel on the other side of the world you can see if the children are alright. You can see your child playing, or if they've had dinner and done their homework."
- Selling peace of mind -
A typical connected child tracker or monitoring camera costs about $150 (135 euros). Few figures were available for how many child wrist trackers have been sold.
Ben Wood, an analyst at tech research consultancy CCS Insight, said FiLIP was thought to be the biggest-selling child tracker watch in the United States, "but with relatively small volumes".
"Connected devices for children have always been a popular concept but they remain problematic," said Wood.
"Numerous issues exist, not least privacy but also health-related implications, particularly on cellular devices. This makes retailers nervous."
Companies were careful to market their watches as a kind of telephone, to overcome concerns about privacy and surveillance.
"It's more to do with a sense of comfort," said Bobby Moore, one of the directors of US-based company Trackimo.
His firm has a range of smartphone-linked trackers for kids' or adults' wrists as well as tags for pets' collars or luggage.
"You feel more safe and secure knowing where your children are, or your pets or old people," he said.
"There is a security aspect, but we try to take out the Big Brother element."

Something about YouTube

Why is video so good for online marketing?

YouTube is huge in the world of online marketing, but why is it so important? How about these good reasons:
1. YouTube is owned by Google, which means that Google will naturally want to promote good content that is posted there in its search engine.
2. Many people now use YouTube as a search engine. For example, if they want to know how to put their hair into an ‘updo’ for a special occasion or get their lighting right in their family photos they will go straight to YouTube rather than to Google. If someone needs a product review before they decide which item to buy, they can watch the product being unboxed and used on YouTube.
3. Facebook page reach. Remember those golden days when you could post something on your Facebook page and most of your page likes would get to see it in their feeds? Well I’ll let you in on a secret…it still works if you use video. Yes, try it!  But you must upload the video to your Facebook page rather than link to a video on YouTube. So after you’ve uploaded your video to YouTube, upload it to your Facebook page for maximum reach.
3. Video is the best way of building a relationship with your audience online because they can see what you look like, hear your voice, look into your eyes and understand if you’ve got their best interests at heart or are just trying to flog them something.
4. I’ve found that video converts far more easily than text.  I can spend hours carefully crafting sales copy or I can spend three minutes making a simple video of me talking and the video will make me many more sales than the text will.
5. Once you’ve made your video, you can share it on Pinterest, Twitter, Slideshare, Stumbleupon… the list goes on. And unlike text blog posts that usually sink without trace after a few weeks, videos will often carry on being viewed for years to come. So each video really is a little asset that can be working for you 24 hours a day.
6. The ‘expert’ factor. Maybe it’s because we’re used to seeing experts on TV, but if you see someone talking on video they ‘feel’ like more of an expert than if they had just written a blog post. And if you’re seen as an expert in your field, new clients are likely to come to you when they next need your help.

Microsoft has broken up with NOKIA

The "new" brand NOKIA Lumia stop production ...
Rumor has for some time that the tags on these phones will no longer be  NOKIA but Microsoft`s,and that is what happened.
In late November, in the world appeared phone of medium level, and that phone is the Microsoft`s Lumia 535, which will be to the end of the month in all major markets. Lumia 535 will be available in two versions, with the possibility of one or two SIM cards, and the price should be around 110 euros without taxes.

This phone has a screen size of 5 inches and qHD resolution, and it is made of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The phone starts quad processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 200, 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory for data storage that can be extended with micro SD card . Lumia 535 runs under Windows Phone 8.1 operating system, the Lumia Denim improvementsand for great pictures there are two camera of 5 MP's.

Why do we think that the Lumia 535, is first (although it is first Microsoft`s phone, so by this we think of all these Lumia phones) Microsoft`s Lumia phone of better than Android:
- In this price range Android doesn`t have Qualcomm Quad-Core devices
- Complete and totally free Here and Drive navigation for the whole world
- Windows Phone is more stable and faster than Android in this price range

Email address, which last only 10 minutes

If you have email address used for your e-mails , to register on various forums and sites it is highly likely that your inbox will be filled with spam messages. So when you`r are asked  somewhere to enter an email address, and you do not want to give it , you can quickly create an email address that lasts 10 minutes (enough to register and confirm the same).

Email address, which takes only 10 minutes

You only need to visit the site 10minutemail and you've got a temporary email address. This address takes only 10 minutes, and if you need more time, you can click on the link "Give me 10 more minutes." Make this address to register on some irrelevant sites that ask you to register to view their content.

So this e-mail use only for some insignificant thing.

Cut songs online by yourself

How to change the format / extension of a file in Windows XP

Format of a file I incredibly easy to change as you will realize yourself in reading this article.

For starters what are the extensions?

Extensions are in addition to the names of files, depending on which of its kind allow the operating system to recognize what type of file it is most common in the Windows operating system consists of three letters, for example: doc or pdf for documentation intended, .mp3 for music. avi for video files, jpg for images etc ...

How to find extensions?

On Windows, the operating system extensions are hidden, but here's a way to find tham out:

1 We go to My Computer / Tools / Folder Options.

2.After then select Show if you want to see the file extensions we uncheck field: Hide file extensions of unknown file types

File extension is not advisable to change, because in this case the operating system will not recognize any of the format works and will be able to open the file. If you want to compile a file of a certain format to another format, you must use a particular file converter, for example, converter jpg to txt format to translate the image into the text. Usually changing the extension will not be of any help.
