What is Ubuntu?

Funny thing actually, i previous post "Release date of Windows 10?" I said and i quote:

I underlined that word 'Ubuntu' because it's this posts most important word. I mentioned it by accident but it's perfect for learning new things, So lets start:

First of all Ubuntu is Operating System, and it's one of many Linux kernels.

You can check out Ubuntus home page ==> HERE
I guess i should say a few words now, but i`m not sure i`ll do that i think i`ll let pictures show you instead (with a bit of text that explain what`s what):

Gaming

From Sudoku to shoot-em-ups, we’ve got loads of games that’ll keep you busy for hours. There are thousands of games available for Ubuntu, including titles from the Unity and Steam platforms. Pick from critically acclaimed titles such as Dota 2, Civilisation V, Kerbal Space Programme, Football Manager 2015 and Borderlands 2.

Office software

Create professional documents, spreadsheets and presentations on Ubuntu with LibreOffice, the open source office suite that’s compatible with Microsoft Office. That means you can open and edit files like Word documents, Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations and share them with other users quickly and easily. You can also use Google docs directly from your desktop.

Smarter searching

Smart filters to make it faster and easier to find the content you need, whether it’s stored on your computer or on the web. Type any query into the Dash home and the Smart Scopes server will determine which categories of content are the most relevant to your search, returning only the best results. And it learns from your past searches making it increasingly accurate over time.

Email

Ubuntu comes with Thunderbird, Mozilla’s popular email application, so you’ll have fast desktop access to your email. No matter which email services you use; Microsoft Exchange, Gmail, Hotmail, pop or imap, email just works.

Social

Keep up to date with your friends and colleagues quickly and easily. Ubuntu comes with Thunderbird, Mozilla’s popular email application, so you’ll have fast desktop access to your email. Services like Skype work seamlessly and with the Dash message lens, you can see all your microblogging feeds in one place. So you’ll be able to follow the latest news and gossip like never before.

Videos

Watch all your favourite content on Ubuntu with apps for playing, managing and sharing your videos. Edit your movies with PiTiVi and then watch them in Movie Player — or add VLC and OpenShot from the Ubuntu Software Centre, for compatibility with even more file formats.

I'm sure that all of you, who use Windows OS (Operating System) of any version, who never tried anything else than it, think that everything else is in every way pure sh#t... But I'm also sure that if you try Ubuntu or any other Linux, like Mint, Fedora, Puppy (puppy is perfect for old computers that have low memory) or any else version of Linux, you would like it. So i recommend that you download it and try it for couple of days, a good thing about Ubuntu is that when you make it bootable on USB and start it on your computer you get live preview...

So that's it for this post guys, but since summer brake started will post a lot more of interesting stuff...

:D

How to set up automatic saving on PowerPoint

I guess you all know about (our beloved) Microsoft`s program PowerPoint, and for those of you who didn't PowerPoint is presentation making (and, later of course, previewing the same) program that work on very simple, but nice way...

There are a lot of diferent versions of PowerPoint through the history:
  • 1990 PowerPoint 2.0 for Windows 3.0
  • 1992 PowerPoint 3.0 for Windows 3.1
  • 1993 PowerPoint 4.0 (Office 4.x)
  • 1995 PowerPoint for Windows 95 (version 7.0; Office 95)
  • 1997 PowerPoint 97 (version 8.0; Office 97)
  • 1999 PowerPoint 2000 (version 9.0; Office 2000)
  • 2001 PowerPoint 2002 (version 10; Office XP)
  • 2003 Office PowerPoint 2003 (version 11; Office 2003)
  • 2007 Office PowerPoint 2007 (version 12; Office 2007)
  • 2010 PowerPoint 2010 (version 14; Office 2010)
  • 2013 PowerPoint 2013 (version 15; Office 2013)
And of course there are practically same number of these for Mac. But this post isn't about how bad or/and good is PP (PowerPoint) but to show you how to set up automatically save all you presentations... So let's start:

1. First of all open any of your PP presentation, and then click on the icon in upper right corner (icon may not be same like the one on the pictures, because it depends on version and/of Operating System)...

2. Second of all when you clicked on that button there should be drop down menu opened, and in bottom of that menu you should now click on "PowerPoint Option" like is showed on picture:

3.After this you will get another menu in which you should click on option "Save":

4. And for the end of this tutorial, when you get inside option "Save"  check little box which is circled in this picture and then set the time interval for which your presentation will be saved...

And this is pretty much for this post...

Done your homework? How to track your kids by smartphone

Well this post is called "Done your homework? How to track your kids by smartphone" and we also like to call it "how your parents are spying on you".

Is your toddler being mean to his baby sister while you're out of the room? Is your eight-year-old making unauthorised detours to the sweetshop after school?
Chill. Mobile entrepreneurs have got your back, with smartphone-controlled baby cameras and wristwatch tracking devices that let you spy on your kids via your handset.
Among countless new "wearable" gadgets presented this week at the Mobile World Congress trade fair in Barcelona, several companies were peddling brightly-coloured rubber wristwatch devices for four to 11-year-olds.
The watches let parents track their child's movements on the screen of their smartphone and receive alerts if the child wanders outside a pre-set "safety zone".
Spanish phone firm Telefonica announced the launch in Europe and Latin America of the FiLIP, a wrist device that has taken off in the United States since 2013.
The watch lets the child talk via their wrist to authorised adults who have the app on their smartphone.
"The idea is before they have their first smartphone, which is full of dangers for a small child, to have a way of locating and contacting them," said Carla Becker, a project manager at Telefonica, presenting the FiLIP in Barcelona.
"The idea is not to be able to track them all the time. It is for when you need it."

Other smaller companies trying to market child trackers included B-On, a multinational firm that presented a purple prototype of its Amigo child watch in Barcelona.
"There are more and more tracking devices on the market, for kids, pets, cars," said B-On vice-president Ishay Shani.
"Now is exactly the right time. Tracking is growing and the product is getting smaller."
- Don't trust the babysitter -
For those who miss their child while away -- or who just don't trust the babysitter -- Taiwanese firm D-Link showcased its latest home baby-monitoring camera, the EyeOn Baby.
From an application on a smartphone, the parent can view and talk to the child, play lullabies, take pictures and videos and set the app up to deliver alerts if the baby cries or moves.
"It's the next step for the traditional baby monitor," said Anselmo Trejo, a D-Link marketing representative in Spain where he said 50,000 such cameras were sold last year.
© Provided by AFP The clock Navigil S1 is presented in disassembled pieces during the 2015 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on March 4, 2015
"Of course, you will still leave the child with a babysitter. But I don't trust all babysitters," he said.
"From a hotel on the other side of the world you can see if the children are alright. You can see your child playing, or if they've had dinner and done their homework."
- Selling peace of mind -
A typical connected child tracker or monitoring camera costs about $150 (135 euros). Few figures were available for how many child wrist trackers have been sold.
Ben Wood, an analyst at tech research consultancy CCS Insight, said FiLIP was thought to be the biggest-selling child tracker watch in the United States, "but with relatively small volumes".
"Connected devices for children have always been a popular concept but they remain problematic," said Wood.
"Numerous issues exist, not least privacy but also health-related implications, particularly on cellular devices. This makes retailers nervous."
Companies were careful to market their watches as a kind of telephone, to overcome concerns about privacy and surveillance.
"It's more to do with a sense of comfort," said Bobby Moore, one of the directors of US-based company Trackimo.
His firm has a range of smartphone-linked trackers for kids' or adults' wrists as well as tags for pets' collars or luggage.
"You feel more safe and secure knowing where your children are, or your pets or old people," he said.
"There is a security aspect, but we try to take out the Big Brother element."

Something about YouTube

Why is video so good for online marketing?

YouTube is huge in the world of online marketing, but why is it so important? How about these good reasons:
1. YouTube is owned by Google, which means that Google will naturally want to promote good content that is posted there in its search engine.
2. Many people now use YouTube as a search engine. For example, if they want to know how to put their hair into an ‘updo’ for a special occasion or get their lighting right in their family photos they will go straight to YouTube rather than to Google. If someone needs a product review before they decide which item to buy, they can watch the product being unboxed and used on YouTube.
3. Facebook page reach. Remember those golden days when you could post something on your Facebook page and most of your page likes would get to see it in their feeds? Well I’ll let you in on a secret…it still works if you use video. Yes, try it!  But you must upload the video to your Facebook page rather than link to a video on YouTube. So after you’ve uploaded your video to YouTube, upload it to your Facebook page for maximum reach.
3. Video is the best way of building a relationship with your audience online because they can see what you look like, hear your voice, look into your eyes and understand if you’ve got their best interests at heart or are just trying to flog them something.
4. I’ve found that video converts far more easily than text.  I can spend hours carefully crafting sales copy or I can spend three minutes making a simple video of me talking and the video will make me many more sales than the text will.
5. Once you’ve made your video, you can share it on Pinterest, Twitter, Slideshare, Stumbleupon… the list goes on. And unlike text blog posts that usually sink without trace after a few weeks, videos will often carry on being viewed for years to come. So each video really is a little asset that can be working for you 24 hours a day.
6. The ‘expert’ factor. Maybe it’s because we’re used to seeing experts on TV, but if you see someone talking on video they ‘feel’ like more of an expert than if they had just written a blog post. And if you’re seen as an expert in your field, new clients are likely to come to you when they next need your help.

How to make a website?

Actually, this question was not phrased nicely and I would now like to rephrase it:

Which internet platform to use to create a website?

The answer would be very long or would be scarce to give you just one example, and a countless of the options that give you that opportunity, so I decided to give you a short list of possibilities:

1.Blogger

2.Wix

3.Wordpress

4.Joomla

5.Webs

Of course i must commend all of this platforms because they are really great(i know because i worked on all of them) but my blog/site is on blogger and there is only one reason why.
But i'll say that reason in some other post.

Which OS(operating sistem) to chose???

Tough question to ask, really all depends on you and normally your needs .

I'll show you today, for me at least, some of the best OS and what are their abilities and weaknesses and my objections ...

Let's start with the basis, what everyone needs and then we`ll work with individual needs:

We all need a safe, fast and reliable , right? Normally yes.

But what does that actually mean? Well ... It would mean that we are under the protection of that. that we are less subject to to viruses l the others, it will not bag every 3 seconds while watching a movie or doing something that I can always count on to meet all I expect.

Now the hard part (each feature individual needs):

  • Among the mains on market today highlights Windows, there are many (XP / 7/8 / Vista / .........) we all know that very well, but why Microsoft constantly throws new and new and when the new is pure bullshit. Well here goes, Microsoft have a lot of flaws for example. they are more susceptible to viruses because they have an executable file (execute) that give the program that run`s without our authorization, while Apple and Linux do not have, even with a large series of anti-virus software viruses somehow continue to eat our computers inside ... The developers also bothered that Windows closed source OS, again unlike Linux, in which you can change literally everything. Although I have to admit Microsoft installs its own OS to some of the very nice devices as their is again a lot of b*#%shit.

  • In the category of the best, as always, includes the Apple (like Windows's eternal rival) .Apple's systems MacOS and iOS are still viewed as the best, which is in the many ways better than Windows for example. by the stability and security of the system. Until recently you could not remove the MacOS on PC or nearly we do is that you can install it even on the PC, and would recommend it but if you still can and buy their computer (hardly anyone in Serbia, it can afford it, s Due to our state) you really have completed the purchase of computers and playing with the OS for sure 15 to 20 years.

  • Now a free code that just mentioned Linux in my opinion, the best so far (in this article) and there is some amazing features, but there are some things that can be better.Like we have said Linux (with its countless kernel) has no outstanding files as Windows and therefore is not as amenable to malicious programs. But down side for players is that Linux does not have many games as for Windows but for someone who uses a computer for school, work, retail, web browsing, Linux will be more than sufficient.

And let's summarize:

Windows is better for the game, a lot of programs from the Windows looks unfinished, is vulnerable to malicious programs. (Can not say that it is not good but sometimes errors and holes that are long overdue to be patched, and than again they did not, and even I almost moved on Linux)

MacOS every famous as the and the good glasu.Odlican for the office or for the home version, equipped with a large set of applications for which you will not even know what they serve until / if you need them.

Linux dually for all, practically and literally can change then was to work in the office or at home performing a demanding job or simply write text on the Internet (as I'm doing now) .You will find multitude profesional program for it on the internet or depending on the its kernel in his store.Likewise important important thing s that the Linux is harder to hack than other OS.

We will soon publish a guide (if after this text change your mind) that you know how to install Linux (which we heartily recommend to you).

11 best iOS 8 hidden features, tips and expert tricks

So, hi guys here it is finaly i lost this post somehow weeks ago, and by a lot of luck i found it so i hope ull enjoy it:

Find out what's sucking up battery

Some apps and processes use more battery than others and keeping an eye on what's using up too much juice will keep your iPhone or iPad going for longer. iOS 8 has a hidden setting that can tell you exactly what's using battery so you can spot nuisance apps and shut them down. Go to Settings, General, Usage, Battery Usage and you will then see a rundown of exactly how long your iOS 8 device has been switched on and how much battery life each app has used during the last 24 hours.
iOS 8 battery use

Ditch Google and use DuckDuckGo for search

Fed up with Google knowing your deepest, darkest secrets? While it is easy enough to avoid using Google search on your computer, avoiding its all-seeing eye on phones and tablets is trickier. In iOS 8 you can now set your default search engine to DuckDuckGo.
Unlike other search engines DuckDuckGo doesn't profit from its users and everyone sees the same search results for any given search term. Its slogan, 'the search engine that doesn't track you', gives peace of mind and means that you stay a little bit more anonymous online when searching in iOS 8.

Link particular moment in the clip on Youtube

If you want to emphasize a certain moment in the piston that is interesting to you, there is no need to bother to explain to someone, at which point it looks, but you just have to give him a link to this moment that you choose.

Eg. If the link to your ear

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=89q_HH-3ghk

In order to link certain moment you have at the end of the link to add  #t = AmBs - replace the letter A certain number ie. minutes that you want, and instead of the letter B you need to place the number of seconds, so if I link my previous want to link in 41 seconds (0 minutes 41 seconds) then you need to add #t = 0m41s, and will now look like this link

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=89q_HH-3ghk#t=0m41s

Protection on Facebook

How to turn a "login license" on Facebook?

Namely, the fact is that when you log in to Facebook with an "unknown" computer you will be asked to enter a code that you receive via SMS or via android / apple apps on your mobile phone.

So that no one else can log in to your account even if you do not know the password, enter the code you receive on your mobile. In this way significantly reduces the possibility of unwanted access to your account. (This service is free of charge)

How to configure:
1. Log into your Facebook account
2. Select Settings
3. In the Security tab, click the Permissions option license (eng. Login Approvals)
4. Follow the Instruction, enter a phone number and confirm code

Those who have installed Facebook app on android / apple devices can activate the "Code Generator" so you can see the code at the the application itself, without SMS notification.

When you sign up with your computer enter the code you can mark your Browser as safe, as they would not need that every time a notifiable waiting SMS, it can be a little frustrating. I hope there is no need to stress that just your computer can be marked as "safe".

Useful tips for the beginning of the blogger-ing !!

Useful tips for the beginning of the blogger- !!
Some of the basic things that you need as a decorative details when making your blog; I was not really quite sure myself what they would be since I did not have this kind of help, so I had find everything by myself , but here are some basic things that I think it would be good to add them in designing the the blog:

First, it is a logical at the outset you should come up with the name of your blog, depending on what thay will write _, you can use SpinXo or namemesh, both sites will depending on what you put as a key topic, or the word thay will focus, provide proposals to the name of your blog (you have to enter find everything by myself in English).

Another thing would be a good theme for a blog _ recommend you not to use themes that you will get as an offer for sign in to Blogger,  but a theme from one of these sites btemplates or my blogger templates, you'll probably invest a lot of work trying to find a theme that suits you, but despite all this surely you'll find on one of these sites your perfect theme ...

Then, hmmm from now onwards is the difficult choice of things to add so we'll go in small steps, now, I wrote about how to add "to top" button on the blog where I presented three different buttons, so now i'm giving you a few more:

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.7.2/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://arrow.scrolltotop.com/arrow3.js"></script>
<noscript>Not seeing a <a href="http://www.scrolltotop.com/">Scroll to Top Button</a>? Go to our FAQ page for more info.</noscript>

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.7.2/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://arrow.scrolltotop.com/arrow54.js"></script>
<noscript>Not seeing a <a href="http://www.scrolltotop.com/">Scroll to Top Button</a>? Go to our FAQ page for more info.</noscript>

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.7.2/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://arrow.scrolltotop.com/arrow7.js"></script>
<noscript>Not seeing a <a href="http://www.scrolltotop.com/">Scroll to Top Button</a>? Go to our FAQ page for more info.</noscript>

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.7.2/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://arrow.scrolltotop.com/arrow29.js"></script>
<noscript>Not seeing a <a href="http://www.scrolltotop.com/">Scroll to Top Button</a>? Go to our FAQ page for more info.</noscript>

For example, you are writing a post on the topic of "what I did today," which would look like this:

Today I went to the store to buy a 3 carrots and three ports. I was not sure whether to buy a candy bar, blue label, which I saw at the winepress ... I was at school all day therefore I do not have a lot of material about which I would wrote today, but tomorrow, tomorrow I will have a lot to blog because i'm going with the class on an excursion ... I was in the gym but nothing new there, business as usual ............................... ......... etc.

What's wrong here?

Nothing but people like to in the end hear some kind of lesson, message, or simply a good word ... What should not be a difficult to add ... Right?
I myself is often difficult to think of a good word that would fit with the the text and I often leave out as you can see on my posts.

That was it for today, if there is something you are interested feel free to ask, next part of this new series "Useful tips to start the blogger-ing !!" we hope you will come out in two weeks and until then you can read some of our previous publication
